We employ over 40 training staff each year for up to three years. Usually our staff will be participants on the Community Employment or Tús scheme. We do also offer short term work experience to young people.

We focus on:

  • Developing skills for employment
  • Building confidence and self-esteem
  • Supporting people to reach their potential

During their time with us people work on all aspects of contract packaging and manufacturing. They also take part in our Workplace Accreditation Model (WAM©) training programme. This programme is directly relevant to the workplace and covers Health & Safety, Quality Assurance, Product Packaging & Assembly and IT skills.

Our approach is to capture learning and skills developed in the workplace and convert them into a qualification at Level 4 on the National Qualifications Framework (equivalent to a Leaving Certificate).  Having this qualification allows people who left school early to reach their potential.

Speedpak gives people work experience, a recent employer’s reference and a qualification to help them move towards work or further training.
