Voter Registration Day was Tuesday 30th April, but did you know that you can register to vote up until Monday 20th May?
Local Elections will take place in Ireland on Friday 7th June. They take place every 5 years. Every person over 18 years whose name is included in the electoral register is entitled to vote in the local area in which s/he lives.
It is not necessary to be an Irish citizen to vote in a Local Election but you will require your PPS (Personal Public Service) number, date of birth and Eircode to register.
