Northside Partnership Celebrates Refugee Week

Sphere 17 Priorswood played host to the launch of A Taste of Home, a collection of recipes from around the world created by refugees living in Northeast Dublin, in celebration of Refugee Week Ireland 2024.

When people are far from home, there is much that they miss: family, friends, food, culture. For refugees living in direct provision, while meals are provided, they have no opportunity to cook their own food, to use ingredients and flavours from home.

Have you heard about our Community Food Club?

The Community Food Club is a 10-week pilot project which aims to provide a sustainable, dependable source of healthy and nutritious food for families and individuals who may be experiencing food poverty.

How does it work?

  • Participants contribute €5 each week receiving up to 12 food items.
  • Participants gain access to a diverse range of healthy food options.
  • Food waste is repurposed (in Partnership with Food Cloud).

Northside Partnership is delighted to present, in conjunction with Northside Shopping Centre, Northside Health Festival 2023, which will take place in Northside Shopping Centre on Friday 18th August. This is a community driven event and aims to promote a holistic approach to health and well-being while fostering a sense of community, unity and connection among residents in the area.

Northside Shopping Centre will be a hub of health with information stands, cookery demonstrations and free classes available.
