New figures show the impact of Sláintecare Healthy Communities

Ireland’s 49 Local Development Companies (LDCs) are identifying the health and wellness needs of their communities and building strategies to address these needs, particularly for those who are living in social and economic deprivation. A pilot initiative – called Sláintecare Healthy Communities, which is a Department of Health/HSE-funded programme that is currently being delivered by 14 LDCs – is having a positive impact on health inequalities throughout Ireland.

PFL Home Visiting is a comprehensive, evidence based, early intervention and school readiness programme for families in Darndale, Kilmore, Priorswood and is now also available in Belmayne and Clongriffin. Beginning in pregnancy, and continuing until the child enters school at age 5, the programme provides high quality information for parents on all aspects of child development and parenting. Northside Health Festival to Transform Northside Shopping Centre into a Hub of Wellness and Community Engagement

Northside Partnership is delighted to present, in conjunction with Northside Shopping Centre, Northside Health Festival 2023, which will take place in Northside Shopping Centre on Friday 18th August. This is a community driven event and aims to promote a holistic approach to health and well-being while fostering a sense of community, unity and connection among residents in the area.

Northside Shopping Centre will be a hub of health with information stands, cookery demonstrations and free classes available.
